Super League Monikie![]()
We have got the okay for an inter club event. We will be taking on East Fife, Montrose and Perth.![]()
It's the same format as the one we have just ran a few weeks ago.![]()
It will take place on Wednesday 18th August at 18:30pm![]()

Spaces will be limited to 10 slots per club (Individual or team)![]()

Time Trial Triathlon (Pending confirmation)![]()
This is an M3 event with a social side - If restrictions ease on the 9th August and we are able to have a BBQ at Monikie we will run a time trial triathlon on the Friday 13th August with BBQ afterwards. ![]()
What is a time trial triathlon? It's where each athlete will complete a 400m open water swim, 10km bike and 2.5km run. However they can do it in any order they like and they can have a rest in between each section. For example I could rock up to Monikie at 5pm do a 2.5km run then have a pizza. I could then wait until 6pm and do the swim have a rest before doing the bike section. Only the times for the activities count.![]()

Of course we need you to help make these a success. If you can take part please let me know you're interested, or if you could marshal that's amazing or if you just want to come for the potential BBQ also fantastic. Please tick all that you are thinking.![]()

Just to update you all in case you've not noticed on Spond. We've now added the Wednesday routes to the weekly Spond event which we ask everyone to check before you head off. There is a longer route and a shorter route to choose from.![]()
As this is cycling with friends, the ride isn't coach lead so its important you know where you're going. Although we do say no one will get left behind, group splits can naturally happen (last week this happened due to a couple of punctures) so we would hate for anyone to get lost.![]()

I have just completed a 24 peak challenge in the Lake District over the highest mountains..some 26 hours of walking over 2 days.. I know it’s not a Tri but a brutal challenge, physical, mental, emotional all to raise money for youth work I’m involved in.. perhaps you could sponsor me to get to 4.5k milestone. Volunteers - if you can send a family member to help that would be lovely - please just let me know if you have any. I’m looking for minimum two helpers to stand and 2 on the water. We have a kayak and paddle board as long as you’re competent on them (first aid knowledge would be a bonus for non water people). ![]()
