M3 Monday night Running sessions
When? Monday Nights @ 7.30pm
Meeting Point? Esplanade, Broughty Ferry (car park @ castle end of esplanade)
The first Monday of every month is held at the RPC Centre at Caird Park. At the moment the only open entrance is from the Claverhouse Road (car park @ the athletics track).
What? – Sessions mixed week to week and can be adapted to suit those attending, an example of past sessions includes:
First Monday of the month: Track Session
- Week 2 – Short Reps
- Week 3 – Interval Running
- Week 4 – Hill Reps
Duration? 1 Hour Max
Who? ALL welcome no matter whether you think you’re too fast or too slow. There will be at least 1 coach in attendance each week – but to be treated as running with friends.
The club supports the local parkrun: a free, weekly, 5k timed run, in Camperdown park. It’s a fantastic course – tough, hilly, multi-surface, and safe. Each week the parkrun team set up the park, and time everyone though course, publishing the results on the web, tracking your performance, and your improvement over time.
Tom Fardon is one of the run directors up at parkrun, so look out for him up there – 09:30 start, every Saturday, starting from the wee car park by the football pitches, along from the East entrance to the park.

David Lloyd Spin class
From November- March there will be an M3 Spin class held at David Lloyd every saturday morning, 8:00-9:00. you do not need to be a David Lloyd member to attend, simply sign in as a guest of M3, pay £2 to the M3 coach running the session then work up a sweat!

Seasonal – Cycling with friends
From May – September there will be a cycling with friends ride every Wednesday at 18:30 & Sunday @ 8:45am. Leaving from David Lloyd Monifieth and open to cyclists of varying ability. Route & cycling groups to be decided at the time depending on numbers/weather etc. More details posted weekly on facebook.

Coached Swimming @ Gardyne
We are happy to say we offer a coached swimming sessions every Thursday at Gardyne Campus. The sessions run from 7:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. Lanes are graded for speed and a swim session plan will be provided on the night. You will need to be able to swim at least a few lengths to attend, and there is usually at least one coach present to give advice on technique and provide tips for improvement.
There is a £4 charge for each swim session; please bring the correct money if you can, although change may be available on the night.
When: Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm

Seasonal – Open Water Swimming
Hosted by Angus Council, the sessions present a great way for members of all experience to learn/re-acquaint themselves with Open Water Swimming. A marked course is provided as well as a lifeguard
When: Seasonal, May-September, Tuesday & Friday from 18:00-19:30 (Must pay at ranger station by 18:30)

Jog Scotland Monifeith – Couch to 5k
If you’re looking to just get into exercise or are wanting to take the first steps in attempting a triathlon but are not sure where to start. M3 Triathalon Club supports a local jogscotland group.
This is a beginner-friendly running group every Wednesday morning starting at 06:30 meeting outside the Tesco at Monifieth.
This is a good opportunity for people who are looking to get active for the first time in a social environment.
